Vitsi Lodge is the ideal place for enjoying your dream hygge vacation  The two country houses are situated in a quiet location, 600 meters above the lake, in the village of Sidirochori and only 15 minutes drive from the city center of Kastoria. The famous Orestiada Lake is just a 10-minute drive away and mountain peaks is only half an hour away.

A  sanctuary away from the noise of everyday life

Many tourist and nature activities are within 10 minutes drive or in a walking distance from the two country houses.

In a safe location, the two houses have the advantage of offering absolute privacy and the beauty of nature, while a few minutes drive from the shops and restaurants of Kastoria.

For 6 (the Villa) and 4 people (the Loft) and also a plenty of space for hyggelig, relaxation and gathering, the houses provide the ideal opportunity to connect with nature as you will love the plenty of outdoor space. Returning from a day that you have enjoyed part of the incredible wildlife of Greece and as the sun sets, you will share stories about the adventures of the day seating at the courtyard or next to the fireplace.

Originally from Thessaloniki we have travelled throughout the country and abroad. We have explored every corner of Greece and we were drawn to Kastoria in particular, because it allowed us to experience North Greece's wild life, while still having the conveniences of nearby shops, restaurants and vibrant life.

Do you feel the call of the Greek nature? We certainly did. Though we have travelled throughout Greece and part of the world, nowhere draws us in like this part of Greece so much, so that we built our family's holiday homes there in 1997. The people, the wildlife and nature is unlike anywhere else in Greece. Western Macedonia has everything that we love, in abundance. The proximity to both the west and north coasts of Greece, the natural phenomenon of Meteora, the deepest gorge in Europe, forests and lakes, birds and wild life.

High gastronomy

We loved the fact that the wildlife on Vitsi mountain still allowed for walking, jogging and cycling and at the same time to discover what the nature gives in all four seasons....

The unique gastronomy of the broader area, the food and the wine, the fishes and meats, legumes and fruits, mushrooms, truffle and saffron, the richness of the land, the great wineries and vineyards, the domination of the Xinomavro variety, all together made us to fall in love with the location.

Sights and spots, stories and experiences we share with friends and when we are not there, we rent our homes, so that our guests too can have the experience of life in those well hidden parts of North Greece.

We share all our experience with all our guests, providing all the information they need for the area, for activities, historical sights, monuments and nature and of course for gastronomy and wines.
